The Department of Computer Graphics and Interaction (DCGI) wishes a successful year 2019 to all
our students, colleagues, partners, and friends.

This season greeting is a combination of artistic idea and advanced computer graphics algorithm. The basis was a 2D image (on the right) that was designed and created by Lucie Svobodová. It has been then processed by Ink-and-Ray method developed by Daniel Sýkora with his research team. The resulted 3D computer model has been rendered using a single point light and shadow casting. We thank to both members of our department for this nice connection of aesthetics and research!
