The vehicle driving simulator performs realistic real-time driving simulation with vehicles of different predefined properties. It is highly configurable and allows to setup mechanical parameters of the vehicle (vehicle geometry, mass, suspension parameters) as well as parameters of the engine and the associated components.
The simulator works in large scale environments including those modeled from real-world data. A particular feature of the simulator is its binding to different control and reporting interfaces, which in turn allows precise analysis of the simulation driving tests. The software also supports rendering on multiple screens and particularly VR simulations within the CAVE environment.
The software is written in C++ using OpenGL, wxWidgets libraries and works on Windows and Linux Platforms.
The main developers of the software are: Jiri Bittner, Antonin Misek, Petr Egert, Hana Truskova, Milan Stezka.
The development of the software was partially supported by the Grant Agency of the Czech Technical University in Prague, grant No. SGS13/214/OHK3/3T/13.
