Overview

The mission of the centre is a research and development in the area of Visual Computing, especially in automobile and movie industry. The task is to develop techniques for interactive, semiautomatic, and automatic processing of large visual data such as video sequences, image and photo databases, 2D drawings or 3D models and scenes. The centre interconnects two important research areas - Computer graphics and Image processing - it opens new horizons and chances to the creation of efficient and complex methods applicable in a number of practical domains. A development in the area of human-computer interfaces is an integral part of all research activities. Such kind of centre is unique within the Czech Republic.
